Best Tweets from Eagles vs. Ravens: Despite Injuries, Wentz and Fans in Stands Show Fight

Pennsylvania online sportsbooks listed the Philadelphia Eagles as 7.5-point underdogs against the Baltimore Ravens early in the week. By kickoff on Sunday, the Ravens were 10-point favorites against the banged-up Birds.

Early indications pointed to a blowout. The Eagles offense averaged negative .44 yards per play through their first 16 snaps. The Ravens led 17-0 at halftime. Carson Wentz turned in a gutsy performance and an Eagles’ two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter was stopped which sealed the 30-28 win for the Ravens.

By the end of the game, Wentz and center Jason Kelce were the only Week 1 starters still standing. Additional members added to the Eagles M.A.S.H. unit after Week 6 were:

  • Miles Sanders (knee, out 1-2 weeks)
  • Zach Ertz (ankle, out 3-4 weeks)
  • Malik Jackson (quad, out 1-2 weeks)
  • Jack Driscoll (ankle, out 1-2 weeks)

The Birds have little time to lick their wounds. They host the New York Giants on Thursday night. PA sportsbook apps have the Eagles as 3.5-point favorites.
