Browns Move From +3.5 to +5.5 vs. Steelers With Coach Out Due to Covid

BetOnline reports a two point shift in the Browns-Steelers line from +3.5 Cleveland to +5.5. The move comes after it was announced Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, two additional members of the coaching staff and two players have tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be available for the AFC wild-card game.

The Browns have been dealing with Covid-19 positives for the past three weeks with nearly all their receivers out in a Week 16 loss to the Jets.

The Browns confirmed that special-teams coordinator Mike Priefer will serve as the acting head coach. Offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt is expected to call the offensive plays in place of Stefanski, a source told ESPN.

Wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge and Pro Bowl guard Joel Bitonio were the players to test positive, a source told ESPN, while the other coaches to test positive were defensive backs coach Jeff Howard and tight ends coach Drew Petzing.

By 3:30 pm some books had moved the line as much as +6.5.

The Browns will face Pittsburgh Sunday night.
