Enlabs Relinquishes Swedish Gaming License

Online casino operator and software group Enlabs has relinquished its Swedish gaming license, although the company plans to reapply after they work on their product to ensure compliance moving forward.

The decision will see Enlabs temporarily pulling out of the market, including its Optibet brand as the company works to develop and integrate its Pay & Play product, which will allow punters the chance to deposit and play without registering an account. Now the company will be out of Sweden until this summer, when the company expects its product to be certified by the country’s gaming regulator Spelinspektionen.

Commenting on the decision Enlands CEO George Ustinov said, “The Swedish market is of great interest to Enlabs. However, our platform currently lacks support for so-called ‘Pay & Play‘, which is absolutely necessary for some of the brands we intend to launch in Sweden.

“The internal development work has already begun, and we believe we have technology, licenses and organization with a clear marketing plan for the launch of several of our most important brands, in place by the summer of 2021.”
