That’s just two wins in six for the Reds who have opened the door for the chasing pack to close the gap in recent weeks and in Manchester United’s case to overtake them at the top. This year’s Premier League title race could be the most exciting in years.
Attention turns to the Carabao Cup with the winners of Wednesday’s Manchester Derby lying in wait for the victors of Tuesday tie between Spurs and Brentford.
The Bees have been going well in the Championship where they’re unbeaten in 16 and there’s no doubt Jose Mourinho will be taking this one seriously stating, “Of course we always have important matches… but I would say a semi-final is always a very important match. The only one more important is a final.”
